Paris St-Germain Secure Mid-Season Ligue 1 Title, Monaco and Lille Battle for Champions League Spot.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have secured their first Ligue 1 title of the season with a convincing victory over Nice at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.

The French giants had already confirmed their place in the top four ahead of the final round of fixtures, but they were determined to secure all three points against their rivals from Nice.

And PSG delivered, running out 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria and Neymar Jr.

The win means that PSG now have 66 points from 28 games, two clear of second-placed Marseille, who drew 1-1 with Strasbourg earlier on Sunday.

Monaco and Lille are currently fighting it out for the Champions League spot, with both teams having played two matches more than PSG.

However, Monaco's chances of securing a place in Europe's elite club competition look slim after they lost 1-0 to Toulouse at the Stade de France on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lille's hopes of clinching a Europa League spot appear to be fading as they lost 1-0 to Dijon at the Stade Vélodrome on Sunday.

Despite this, Lille still have a chance of finishing fourth and securing a Europa League place if they can beat Paris Saint-Germain in their final match of the season.

Overall, it was another impressive display from PSG, who continue to dominate the Ligue 1 table despite facing stiff competition from their rivals. However, Monaco and Lille will need to step up their game if they want to make any impact in the Champions League race.
