Borussia Mönchengladbach edges FC Augsburg 2-1 with Bensebaini and Plea goals

Borussia Mönchengladbach secured all three points in their latest Bundesliga clash against FC Augsburg, thanks to two goals from the likes of Anthony Bensebaini and Marco Reus. The match was played at the Veltins-Arena on Saturday evening.

In the first half, Gladbach started off well, creating several chances for themselves but were unable to convert them into goals. However, they finally broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when Anthony Bensebaini headed home from a corner kick, giving his team a 1-0 lead.

FC Augsburg responded immediately in the second half, however, it was too little, too late as Gladbach doubled their advantage just five minutes later through Marco Reus. The German forward scored with a powerful strike from outside the box, making it 2-0 to the hosts.

Despite being behind, FC Augsburg put up a good fight and created several opportunities to score. However, they failed to convert any of those chances and eventually succumbed to Borussia Mönchengladbach's strong defense.
